“Service Above Self” and “One Profits Most Who Serves Best” both trace back to the early days of the organization.  In 1911 “He Profits Most Who Serves Best” was approved as the Rotary motto. It was adapted from a speech made by Rotarian Arthur Frederick Sheldon at the first Rotary convention. Sheldon declared that, “Only the science of right conduct toward others pays. Madison Attends RLI

Rotary Leadership Institute was held Saturday, April 20, 2019 at West Orange High School in West Orange.  Participating from Madison pictured above left to right are Ray Freaney, John Hogan, Frank Cesaro, Jim Allison and Barry Kroll.  The purpose of the Rotary Leadership Institute is to strengthen your club and strengthen your life. Rotary provides an opportunity for all of us to provide service to our community and throughout the world. (Service Above Self) With that service comes a learning experience in the areas of leadership, team building, planning, marketing, communication and organization. RLI provides an opportunity to enrich that learning through sharing experiences and ideas with other Rotarians throughout the region.
