Develop Youth

The Madison Rotary runs a variety of Youth Development programs throughout the year including an annual Scholarship competition for High School Seniors, dictionaries for 3rd graders, and reading to the Elementary schools.

MHS Interact Food Collection
Madison High School freshman and Interact Club member, Katie Streit is joined by her mom and brother as they deliver food to the pantry at the First Baptist Church of Madison. The Interact Club collects and delivers 50+ bags of donated food to the pantry every other Saturday. If you want to donate email madisonendshunger@gmail.com
Dictionary Project Volunteers Needed
Madison Rotary distributes dictionaries to every 3rd grader attending school in Madison.  22 volunteers are need to visit classrooms in all schools and spend 1 hour in  classrooms.  Here is the schedule:  Central Avenue, Oct 27, 1-2 pm, St. Vincents, Oct 30th, 12:50 to 1:50, Kings Road, November 1st, 1-2 pm, Tory J,. Madison Rotary & MHS Interact at End Hunger 3.6
On March 12, 2022, Madison Rotary and Madison High School Interact Club participated in a food packaging program End Hunger 3.6 to provide food for those insecure.  125,000 meals were packaged.  Additionally 53,000 were sent to Ukraine.
