Welcome Paul Daly (left) and Mark Schwarz (right) the newest members of Madison Rotary. Paul is an attorney/partner at Partner at Hardin, Kundla, McKeon & Poletto. His legal career spans more than 20 years and he has tried both typical personal injury matters and cases involving unusual, complex legal issues. Mark, is the School Superintendent for Madison Board of Education he comes from the Rockaway school district where he served as School Superintendent, Principal, Vice Principal and Curriculum Coordinator. Both are interested in helping the community by participating in service projects, participating in events, and helping Madison Rotary become a more succdssful service organization. Ray Freaney of the Madison Club will become District Governor on July 1, 2019. Plan now to attend the Banner Exchange/Change Over dinner on Monday, June 24th, 6:00 to 8:30 pm. at Mayfair Farms. We are hoping for an extraordinary turn-out from out from our Club to show support for Ray and his year as District Governor. Madison Rotary Club will have its Installation Dinner on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. It will be a Back Yard BBQ at the home of Judy and Barry Kroll, 27 Laurel Way, Madison NJ 97940. The subsidized cost is $40.00 per person for catered BBQ. What is the Installation Dinner? The new Rotary calendar year begins July 1, 2019 and that is when the new Club Officers and Directors assume their new positions. Who should attend.? If you are a committee chair, the leader of a project, a club member, write a short paragraph describing your event, activity, accomplishment or upcoming event, send it to newsletter editor Barrykroll@aol.com. We want club members to be aware of individual and club accomplishments, upcoming events, when volunteers are needed, information about Rotary, etc. If you have a picture it always adds to the readability of the story.

22 applications for Madison Rotary's "Service Above Self" scholarship award were received this year. The top eight students were interviewed by the Scholarship Committee and five students, Emily Axelsen, Sara Massey, Heather McCulloch, Julia Sales and Amanda Smith were selected to receive $1,000 scholarship awards. The students will be recognized at Madison High School awards ceremony to be held on June 20th. All of the students attend Madison High School with the exception of Emily Axelsen who attends Gill St. Bernards.
