Do you have a story or a piece of news that can be  shared with our Club?  If you are a committee chair, the leader of a project, a club member, write a short paragraph describing your event, activity, accomplishment or upcoming event, send it to newsletter editor Barrykroll@aol.com.  We want club members to be aware of individual and club accomplishments, upcoming events, when volunteers are needed, information about Rotary, etc.  If you have a picture it always adds to the readability of the story.

Attending Rotary Meetings
Club meetings give members an opportunity to enjoy fellowship and provide them with the information and motivation they need to increase their participation in activities that serve the club, the community, and the world.  Weekly meetings feature interesting programs that enhance members' Rotary knowledge, reinforce the value of continued membership, and increase awareness of local and global issues. If you would like to be the speaker or want to recommend a speaker for one of our meetings, please contact Nancy Adamczyk.

Ray Freaney - District Governor

Over 150 Rotarians from the Rotary District 7475 were on hand in West Orange on June 24th when Ray Freaney, from Madison Rotray, was formally installed as the 2019-2020 District Governor. Past District Governors were invited to attend and participate in a "Passing of the Gavel" ceremony as part of the program. More than 17 PDGs participated in this special event, each sharing their yearly theme as they pass the gavel from one to the other.  All District officers were also inducted. It was a wonderful fellowship event. Participants enjoyed wonderful selection of food and drinks. Thanks to the committee members who worked hard to put this event together.

Madison Rotarians Having Fun
25 Madison Rotarians and Guests enjoyed a Somerset Patriots baseball outing at TD Ballpark in Bridgewater.  Fortunately we were not deterred by the 90 degree hot weather - we did have an air conditioned suite for a little relief.  Our Suite was located directly behind home plate in the upper level.  We paid attention to the foul balls many of which came our way.  We thank the Somerset Patriots for there generosity of donating this Suite to Taste of Madison.  The Suite was purchased by Barry Kroll in the silent auction at the the Taste and shared with the Club.
