On Saturday, March 27th hundreds of people brought boxes of papers to be shredded at the Madison Rotary’s semi-annual Community Shredding Day at the Madison Municipal Parking at the corner of Prospect Street and Kings Road. People also donated furniture at a Morris Habitat for Humanity truck on site and donate food at the Interact Club tent on site as well. Interact is the high school club version of Rotary.  Click Read More for additional information.

Interact collected two pickup truck beds-full of non-perishable food and delivered them to Julie Hess, the volunteer coordinator for nourish. NJ, formerly the Community Soup Kitchen, on Sussex Ave in Morristown. About 60 bags of food were collected.

Also, during the food drive Interact Club members sorted and categorized 10 cartons of donated children’s books that were also delivered to nourish. NJ by the Madison High Interact club advisor, Carole Rawding, physics teacher.

People could also donate used books at the new book donation bins in the parking lot as well.
