Taste of Madison a Huge Success
Over 600 people enjoyed Taste of Madison on March 19, 2018.  Proceeds of the event support the three sponsoring organizations:  Madison Rotary, Madison Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Development Commission.  Enjoy the video below to get a flavor of the event.  Taste of Madison video
 
 
 
PETS (President Elect Training Seminar)
Michael Belt, Madison Rotary President Elect, recently attended President Elect Training Seminar held on March 23, 24, 2018 with over 400 people in attendance.  Pictured left to right are Bernie Rooney, Phillipsburg Club, Jeannie Tsukamoto, Ray Freaney, Michel Belt, and Hal Moeller.  Not pictured above is Barry Kroll, who was the 2018 General Chair of PETS
158,112 Meals Packaged
Rotary District 7470, The Madison Rotary Foundation and Madison Rotary (program sponsors) wish to thank the 600 volunteers, 40 sponsors and 24 local Rotary Clubs who participated in packaging 159,112 meals that were distributed to needy individuals and families in norther New Jersey.  The program took place March 10, 2018 and is the largest Rotary food packaging program in the country.  Ellsworth Havens, program chair, said "we are grateful to have such a supportive community and sponsors to make a program like this happen.  Hunger is a very real problem for many people in our community and we are dedicated to making a difference."  As we conclude the 2018 End Hunger 3.6 program we are already thinking about how to have a greater impact in 2019.  
Laws of Life Essay
Madison Rotary invites junior students who are members of Madison High School to participate in a Laws of Life Essay Award. The purpose of the essay award project is to encourage students to explore their core values, such as honesty, perseverance, and compassion.  Click Read More for additional details.

2018 Rotary Scholarship Program
 
The Rotary Club of Madison will provide four $1,000 scholarship awards to graduating seniors who exemplify this motto through their volunteer service activities and actions. Examples would include but not limited to participation in a service club like Interact or Key Club, participating in organized mission trips, volunteering to help others, volunteering at a community organization like the YMCA or food bank, scouting, shoveling sidewalks for seniors, raising money to benefit others, etc.  Click Read More for additional details

Welcome Back Lois Bhatt
Welcome back Lois Bhatt - Madison Rotary board welcomes back Lois Bhatt who left Rotary due to business conflicts 3 years ago.  Her schedule has changes and Lois wants to return to Madison Rotary and looks forward to getting involved in a variety of activities.
Registration Deadline is Wednesday
Rotary Leadership Institute RLI), is a multi-district, grass-roots leadership and development program designed to strengthen Rotary clubs through education, collaboration and the exchange of ideas among its future leaders. Rotary Leadership Institute will be held April 21st, 7:30 am to 3:30 PM at the West Orange High School in West Orange, NJ.  Cost is $75.00.   Rotary Leadership Institute gives its participants the chance to network with Rotarians from clubs from all over – not just their own clubs — and come back refreshed and excited about sharing and implementing new ideas. The Rotary Club of Madison has an enthusiastic and engaged network of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to serve humanity in our local and global communities.
